Festival of the art's

This week we have been drawing and painting on our rocks to give to someone. We have learn't Patience, A steady hand, Put a little bit of paint, Breathing, Focused attention and use tip of bristles. I'm painting my second rock it a mangopare and niho taniwha.

Kowhatu toi

We are doing festival of the arts I am doing kowhatu toi it means rock art. I have learnt about the Koru, Niho taniwha, Mangopare, Ritorito, Manawa and Puroro.

Koru - The Koru is a fern plant that means peace and life to you, strength and represents a new life.

Kowhatu toi - For Kowhatu toi we have to receive three rocks from the teacher. Then we have to coat the rocks three times with a water resistance paint called perma white.

Lab rules:

1. Always follow instructions.

2. Enter lab ONLY if your teacher is present.

3. Tie up long hear. 

4. Clean up your area.

5. no eating or drinking in the laboratory/lab.

6. Don't run it the lab.

7. Ask teachers permission before using equipment.

8. Wear safety goggle.

9. Tell the teacher if you break something.
